Mamma loves a road trip. There is nothing more EAST than heading through Gippsland. Now this area is MASSIVE and we are only beginning to scratch the surface, but here are some of Mamma’s discoveries in the beautiful Gippsland.

A theme park that is SUPER fun for the whole family. It’s an animal park, has rollercoasters and thrill rides, and Mamma’s favourite place to cool off at the GIANT water park.
Deep in the heart of the forest is an ancient beauty of a tree named Ada. This tree is believed to be over 300 years old, having survived bushfires, logging activity and centuries of life in the forest. The forest is a stunning location for a family walk and day outside with nature.
If you’ve ever been curious as to what it might have felt like as a dinosaur roaming the Earth … then walking through the ancient fern filled valley of Tarra Valley might give you an inkling.
A popular spot with families, there is plenty to do in the valley of the Tarra Bulga National Park
We love finding treasure and sometimes it is the rusty gold type of treasure. Coal Creek Community Park is Korumburra’s historical heartland.
This is a restored the last surviving trestle bridge in the area and the tallest in Victoria. It is just over 100 metres long and is pretty darn tall.
This township is an amalgamation of some of the area’s most prized buildings, preserved for our enjoyment. you’ll find all the places you might expect in a ‘ye olde’ community.
This idea is genius. An indoor play centre right inside a caravan park. Parky’s is a great addition to any holiday itinerary.
Holiday parks these days are almost a destination in itself. That is certainly the case for Park Lane Holiday Park in Traralgon.
Mamma loves a family adventure and seeking out some of nature’s beauties AND a side of Victorian history, we are looking at a triple points on the explorer’s scoreboard.
If you are heading to Walhalla, you can’t miss the Walhalla Goldfields Railway experience.

Talk about pretty! Civic Park in Warragul is an awesome little playground with plenty to do and space to stretch your legs, especially if you are driving through.
Traralgon has to have the biggest regional playground space Mamma has seen. Newman Park has 4 playground structures, plus a sandpit, a rocking car AND an old school flying fox.

If you didn’t already know that this STUNNING pub exists, let Mamma introduce you to your new favourite day trip lunch destination; you are going to love the amazing Toolshed Bar and Bistro in Noojee.
Parents, dream do really come true. There are cafes in the world where the kids have safe places to play, get out in the outdoors AND you can have a coffee all at the same time!
The Nooj Pub is famous. In a tiny town, mid way from Yarra Junction to Mt Baw Baw, this place is the heart of it all and been here for nearly 100 years. All weekend the kitchen churns out hearty aussie pub meals served with a huge chunk of country hospitality.
Did you know that in the beautiful lakeside Gippsland town of Paynesville, you can catch a free ferry to a tiny island full of koalas, kangaroos and wombats?
