tarra valley picnic area and cyathea falls, tarra valley

If you’ve ever been curious as to what it might have felt like as a dinosaur roaming the Earth … then walking through the ancient fern filled valley of Tarra Valley might give you an inkling. This is a very special part of Victoria where you will be surrounded by the wonders of the natural world.

The short loop track that takes you up to Cyathea Falls and back to the Picnic Area is beautiful, peaceful and cool. Even the little ones enjoy the challenge of the big little trek, or will be sure to snooze away in the carrier at least!

Bring your picnic and enjoy some lunch by the river at the entry to the track - outdoor dining at its finest!

Mamma’s special mention: While in the area, check out Corrigans Suspension Bridge and if you want more time to explore this part of Gippsland, Fernholme is a great place to stay nearby.
