Cow Cuddle Mini Sessions - Highland Hideaway, Wonga Park

If you are looking to treat the kids (or yourself!) to a once in a lifetime experience, then you need to book in for one of Highland Hideaway’s Cow Cuddle mini sessions.

Running for 20 minutes (a duration that keeps the animal’s wellbeing in mind) a cuddle session allows you to pat, brush, feed and yes… cuddle Honey - the most gentle and sweet-natured highland cow who calls the Wonga Park property her home.

Experiences like this are widely recognised for their therapeutic benefits and Mamma can see why. Watching little Miss 6 and her friend connect with Honey in the quiet of the Yarra Ranges is something oh-so-special.

If 20 minutes at Highland Hideaway doesn’t feel like enough, Mikaela (the owner) also offers a 1.5 hour picnic and cow cuddle package which includes a specially set up picnic in the paddock with a platter and soft drinks (BYO wine welcome).

You can tell Mikaela has poured her heart and soul into Highland Hideaways and her animals. A mother of two herself, sessions are very well suited to kids (and adults) of all ages! Bookings are limited and essential.

Mamma’s hot tip - this is a rural property with real animals (including several horses as well!)… which means uneven terrain and poo are unavoidable and to be expected so be sure to wear closed toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty.
