gooligulch playground, wonga park

Playground has been UPDATED AND NOW OPEN! The refurbishments is a direct update of this exact design with fresh paint, replaced timber and a whole heap of new soft fall.

Hidden treasures are one thing - but this is something completely different. Wonga Park has been hiding this one from Mamma! Welcome to Gooligulch Playground. A playspace based on the Graeme Base story where the this fictional town was home to an adventurous grandma who rides kangaroos and befriends wombats and emus. All the characters are here alongside the crooked house. There are goannas looking through the windows, emus (who may have seen better days) looking out from the kitchen that has a tunnel running through the fireplace. The best way out is via the slides - naturally. The remaining kangaroos are in the yard, supporting the old school tyre swings. This is such a sweet space that is really hidden away and perfect for toddlers, including crawlers on a dry day.

Mamma's special mention: If a good story themed park tickles your imagination you have to head to Kinglake for the brilliant Bollygum Park
