School Holidays at Blue Lotus Water Gardens, Yarra Junction

Enjoys the great outdoors at one of the most lush and tranquil gardens in the Yarra Valley - the Blue Lotus Water Garden!

The Garden team have a new floral event that runs from 21st March to 19th April. The inaugural Bloomin Begonias and the Autumn Flower Season showcases Melbourne’s largest display of stunning begonia flowers spread throughout 14 acres of landscaped water gardens. The showpiece is “Trail of Begonias” that winds its way through 1km of garden paths containing over 400 hanging baskets (possibly the largest floral hanging basket display in the country). Adding to the experience is thousands of magnificent autumn blooms planted throughout the grounds including sunflowers, salvias, impatiens and more. Plus, the display of waterlily flowers the gardens are so famous for continue to put on a show. Especially the Giant Amazon Waterlilies (Victoria cruziana) with their impressive lily pads and unique flowers.

Although … hold that thought about tranquility because over the autumn school holidays there will be so much fun for the kids. A full Easter filled program is taking place over the long weekend with incredible shows from Toby the T-Rex, Lucky Luke the magician and Fairy Poppy taking place across the rest of the school holidays.
