Welcome BACK to Billy Lids! Hawthorn is the home to a house of play - or should I say a massive hall of play! This enormous building that once was a church hall, then the Apollo Theatre and a function centre, is now where the local mums and their bubs head to when the weather turns for indoor play.
It still has a giant play structure, the biggest feature in the space, but also a ball pit, featuring an interactive tagret game on the big screen, as well as a huge inflatable slide on the old stage section of the hall. There is also a toddler only section that is fenced off from the ‘big kids’ and has heaps to climb and explore, including a rotating dolphin ride.
The space has had a huge new paint job and has a new light and airy feel. The kitchen offers a range of food options too so you could really spend all morning here.
Mamma's special mention: If you need more action in your morning play, Grace Park is a short walk away, just on the other side of the train tracks.
