grace park playground, hawthorn

She’s a beauty for sure! Grace Park in Hawthorn is all kinds of stunning. Tom Jones might just say “she’s got style, she’s got grace!” Massive open lawns, shady pathways, lovely gardens …. and our favourite … the brilliant playground.

Nestled under a giant gum tree, which must have provided shade for thousands of families over the years, this playground has a little bit of everything. There’s a cubby, sand pit (with additional shelter), climbing spider’s web, wooden play structure and slide. Closer to the train line, there is a basketball court and rebound wall that must get a great work out.

You will need to bring the hats and sunscreen in the warmer months as the main play area gets a good amount of sun. Pack a picnic too and enjoy the lawns and open space.

Mamma’s special mention: The park is in close proximity to Glenferrie Road for a coffee, some shopping or catch a movie at Lido cinemas OR go for splash at Hawthorn Aquatic Centre.
