beckett park playground, balwyn

Now Mamma wants to know where the indoor trampolines, the massive climbing pyramids and huge sandpits with two sets of diggers were, way back in the 90s? Of course these new age kids get to have all the fun in this well loved wooden playground.

Beckett Park is set in the most beautiful of leafy suburbs - Balwyn. When you visit the playground be sure to climb the Centenary Tower and check out the view of its beautiful surrounds. But of course, the little ones will be dying to explore the wooden tower, cross the drawbridges and get lost in the maze in the playground.

The playspace is nice and big with lots of different corners to explore and the soft fall seems to be kept in great condition. The play spaces are shaded beautifully under the pine trees and the sandpit has its own additional shade sail.

Mamma's special mention: There are two additional garden areas that border the park, the Indigenous Flora Reserve, and The Maranoa Gardens. The Gardens have set open times but are a wonderful place to wander amongst the trees and spot some flowers.
