warburton road reserve 'magpie park', canterbury
/There ain’t nothing sweeter than a little street park that pays respect to its little page in history! The Warburton Road Reserve playground (which has better access via Matlock Street if you ask us) is located next door to The Sullivan House - the outdoor location where the 70s Aussie TV drama "The Sullivan's” was filmed. SO it is only fitting that the cubby house - which is fully accessible for wheelchair users - also bares this name.
The playground is adorable with many features Mamma can’t get enough of; starting with the white picket fence along the road side. Then there is the proud standing magpie, the car frame with real tyres and a great play structure where the kids will have a ball. There is a good amount of shade with some great old trees covering the playground and there are walking trails nearby.
With easy access to Maling Road, Mamma recommends this park for when your little ones need a train and bike adventure! Mamma loves to catch the train to Canterbury Station and let the kids roll their bikes down to the park after a well-earned babyccino.
