victoria street playspace at ruffey lake park, templestowe east

Looking for an awesome playground that has something for ALL of the family? Best to give this one a whirl!

The Victoria Street Playspace is the best known playground at Ruffey Lake Park (there are three here!) and is the most popular. Mamma knows why - there's sand, slides, towers, in built trampoline, climbing challenges and flying foxes!

Set in the hill side, the playground has lots of treasures hidden around corners and up stairs - basically, it is ideal for hide and seek. The huge slide gets a great workout and it is a pretty beautiful slide too (Mamma has seen plenty of slides). There is heaps of gathering space for picnicking either in the grassy fields or undercover with the bbqs.

Mamma's favourite zone must be the sand pit - the central zone with a bit of shade and spots for adults to sit too, minus the sandy bottom! There is a water pump here too, with lots of channels and gates for creating dams. This is a very well loves space, and sand has somewhat taken over the tiles, but is still plenty of fun to be had.

Mamma's special mention: Ruffey Lake Park is a great piece of urban green space and boasts THREE playgrounds.
