Ruffey Lake Park is an iconic eastie destination. Whether you have had to run the track on a cross country run at school, attended the council run carols or visited one of their playgrounds, it is almost part of the family for those living in Manningham.
The playgrounds here are wonderful - the Boulevarde Playground is great for the juniors, the Ninja Warrior Playground at the top of the hill is brilliant for the older kids, a teeny tiny one at the start of the Disc Golf Course and the great all rounder at Victoria Road (this is set to be upgraded with works set to begin 2023/24).
If playgrounds aren’t for you, head along the trails with the bikes or scooters and grab some exercise (although you may need to walk them uphill occasionally!) Otherwise there are heaps of off leash dog zones for the four legged family members, a bunch of picnic areas with BBQ and of course, heaps of space to spread out and watch the cloud float overhead.
