Mamma might KNOW the east but it is the Storehouse who KNOWS all there is to know about coffee. After establishing themselves as cafe masters in Mt Evelyn, the Storehouse continues to spread their wings and have a dedicated Roastery and espresso bar further up into the ranges, in Olinda.
In this location you can grab a pie or pastry to go and stock up on freshly roasted beans. PLUS you can also sample their entire range of coffee offerings. In the style mostly seen in a brewery, you can learn all about the different flavour profiles and brewing methods by ordering a tasting paddle.
This option is not for the faint hearted - it is a lot of caffeine! There are seven cups on the paddle once the team explains the story behind each roast. We didn’t realise how many different flavours could come from these delicious beans just based on where in the world they have been grown and how they are extracted in the machine. Mamma suggests you bring a friend to share in the experience (and the caffeine load!)
