This Mamma knows that you need to have a great gift shop, florist and cafe in your hood. The Posie Project ticks all THREE of those boxes. This stunning boutique is found in the heart of Montrose and is filled to the brim with the most beautiful items. From toys to books, to ceramics and crafts. There are earrings and dried flower arrangements, trinkets and pillows, clothes and picnic blankets.
Speaking of picnics, the most recent addition to the shop is a takeaway menu supplied by another eastie fave - Locavore Studio. You can pop in and dine at the cutest pink tables at the front, perch on the crates along the side, or do what Mamma would do, head to the Montrose Community Playground, just up the road. Coffee here is top notch and you can even order from the side door - we LOVE it when we don’t have to squeeze in with the pram!
Mamma's special mention: If you are up for another little local adventure, there is a cute little spot - the Kevin Heinze People’s Garden - just behind the carpark at the back of the shops.
