90s Nostalgia - Playback96 @ Chadstone Shopping Centre, Chadstone

Time to show the kids how we did it in the 90s. Playback96 is the new interactive experience by funlabs (the masterminds behind family favourites like Holey Moley and, Hijynx hotel and Archie Brothers).

Located in chadstone’s social quarter, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re entering an old school video rental store. What you’re actually walking into is a series of 9 interactive games that celebrate all things 90s.

From music trivia disguised as a vintage hair salon to arcade game reflex testers, chuppa chup obstacle courses, Nokia themed memory games and etcha sketch inspired Pictionary - there’s something here to make any millennial go “I remember that!”.

Sessions run for an hour with unlimited play of all games included within that time. Compete with family, friends and other visitors to top the daily leaderboard.

Food and drinks are also available here with dining available in the space that is shared with Holey Moley.

This is one that’s great for a little dose of nostalgia for the grownups and a little insight into how things used to be for the kids but Mamma says little ones under 7 or 8 may not enjoy it as much.
