Hands up if you loved hanging at the local roller skate rink over the school holidays when you were a kid? Mamma has fond memories of The DJ mixing up the hottest hits, the classic knock out party games and cutting endless loops of the floor on her super fast skates.

The fun never stopped here at the Skate Centre in Lilydale. The classic roller rink has still got the family friendly vibes and Mamma was transported right back into her tweens as soon as we stepped our wheels through the door. Once you are strapped into your skates of choice, you are all set to go - whether it is slow and steady wins the race on the outer rail or if you are more like speedy gonzales and ready to the tear up the middle, Mamma says, there is room for all of us.

Owner Ramy puts his heat and soul into this venue and is a wonderful host. You’ll hear him on the mic as he gives a mini lesson (reminding the kids to stay low to the ground and if you fall, squat and you’ll be right) and running games - with lolly rewards - throughout the sessions.
