Do you know what’s better than an awesome restaurant? No, it’s not just an awesome restaurant with a playground. It’s an awesome restaurant with a playground AND a dedicated kids’ program to entertain the little ones while Mamma waits for her fries in peace.
That’s what you’ll find every Sunday at Studley Park Boathouse in Kew. Their Explorers Program runs several times throughout the day and caters to explorers of all kinds, both mini and big. With a mini explorers program running for children under 7 and a big explorers program for those aged 5 to 12, Mamma can sit back and relax in peace while her little ones engage in guided activities, creative crafts and place-based learning. Mamma’s little ones still point proudly to their chef mix and match magnets which have pride of place on our fridge and are a souvenir of a lovely day by the river.
Once the kiddos are finished working on their creations, their little tastebuds will be delighted by the beautiful menu at the Boathouse. Mamma and her little ones cannot go past the classic scones with clotted cream and jam, these go down a treat every time.
The parkland surrounding the Boathouse makes the perfect backdrop for a family adventure, so why not pack the bikes and explore one of the many trails along the Yarra? Or traverse the iconic Kanes Suspension Bridge? Or, treat yourselves to a boat ride along the idyllic Yarra River? The Studley Park Boathouse Explorers Programs run every Sunday on the upper deck of the main restaurant
Mini Explorers is for the little ones under 7 and runs at 9am, 10:15am and 2:00pm
Tickets are $5 per child and can be purchased online or at the bar at the Boathouse
Big Explorers is for children aged 5 to 12 and runs at 10am, 11am and 12pm
Tickets are $10 per child and can be purchased online or at the bar at the Boathouse
$1 from each ticket is donated to the Wurundjeri Corporation
