ashburton library, ashburton

There’s just something about a library on a slower morning. Cozying up with your little ones and a book, getting absorbed in a world of imagination and wonder, Mamma thinks there’s nothing better.

Ashburton Library is a wonderful place to spend a morning, with any book you could possibly imagine and toys galore. Between colouring in sheets, costumes, role-play toys and sensory tiles, your little ones will be content exploring the beautiful space while they browse the latest titles.

Your little ones can venture outside to the fully enclosed courtyard complete with play diggers and giant Connect Four. Once your little one has explored the space, they can toddle on over to Story Time which takes place at 11am every Thursday during school terms, and is a fun way to introduce your little ones to the world of storytelling and inspire a love of reading.

The library also includes a fully-fenced playground out the front, kitted out with a rope ladder, slide and rock-climbing wall, with a picnic table off to the side to boot. So add Ashburton Library to your list and watch your little one’s imagination soar in this cozy, kid-friendly zone.
