wally tew reserve, ferntree gully

Wally Tew Reserve is still a firm favourite with local families, and it’s easy to see why.

The flying fox continues to steal the show, with kids racing back up the hill for “just one more go” (and then five more after that). The slides are fast and fun, perfect for slightly older adventurers who love to climb high and zip down fast.

For the littler ones, the boardwalk play zone and generous sandpit make for the perfect toddler haven. The built-in digger is always busy, and the family sized see saw and swings add to the fun. And Mamma’s personal pick? The giant birds nest swing, ideal for a chill sway or a full-blown group spin.

Sadly, the accessible swing area is currently out of action due to vandalism, but fingers crossed it’s repaired and ready to roll again soon.

Mamma's special mentions:  Bike tracks run alongside the playground and the Ferntree Gully Library is literally a stones throw away. They run Story Times for ages 0-6 years.
