john hemmings memorial park playground, dandenong

Mammas, if you’re looking for a playground with an abundance of equipment - this is it. With 8 slides, 6 monkey bars, 8 swings (including a wheelchair accessible Variety Liberty Swing), a flying fox and 2 climbing frames, there is plenty to go around for everyone!

The playground has a subtle music theme that runs throughout, including some instrument based equipment like drums, chimes and musical keys. There is a great amount of shade over most of the playground and plenty of benches surrounding the equipment for the grownups.

It is worth noting however, this playground is right on the Princes Highway service road with grass and a footpath in between but very little fencing - so if you have a runner, you may need to engage in some intensive hovering.

With large expanses of grass to run around, a skate park, BMX track, basketball court, BBQs and undercover picnic benches all within a stones throw of each other, Mamma thinks this is the perfect place to spend a day with the family.
