dandenong pavilion, dandenong

Mammas! If you’re in search of a restaurant, perfect for that large celebratory dinner or a quick mid week feed when cooking at home feels like *too much* - Dandenong Pavilion is THE place.

A cornerstone in the local dining scene, “The Pav” is the very definition of family friendly.  With a kitchen that is open all day, this Mamma can attest that a 4:45 dinner booking will get you home in time for baths and books.

Once you step through the doors, grownups are handed menus and the little ones are given personal pencil cases and an activity sheet. With a dedicated  kids menu (all of which include juice/milk and a scoop of icecream for dessert) and an extensive “big kids” menu, everyone’s tummies are guaranteed to be full and happy by the end of the meal.

Mamma and Mr Mamma couldn’t go past the chicken skewer platter and Philly cheesesteak, while chicken strips and chips were on the menu for the kidlets. When the waitress asked little miss 4 if she wanted sprinkles on her icecream, the “YES PLEASE” that followed could be heard the next suburb over.
