gateway estate reserve playground, lilydale

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a newbie!

The Gateway Reserve in Lilydale has a new little playground for the kids to enjoy. The show piece is a central climbing tower, complete with two slides - a little toddler red one, with great views of the sporting field, and a fast tunnel one that Mamma’s crew thought was the bees knees. Beside the tower you’ll find some in built trampolines, a seesaw and a set of swings.

Here you will also find a set of fitness equipment, a half court basketball zone and, of course, a huge oval for footy or cricket practise. There is an undercover picnic area and a BBQ, which we imagine will get a good work out on game day.

An added touch, which Mamma thinks is pretty cool, is a graphic tribute to some local female sporting heroes. It makes the perfect bench for supervising the kiddos too!

Mamma's special mention: Need coffee? The closest - and a local favourite - The Lilydale General, is not far around the corner, heading towards town.
