undercover roasters hq, abbotsford

There is a new HUGE welcoming space in Abbotsford and Mamma just had to check it out. Undercover Roasters are originally from Bendigo but are beginning to spread their wings in the big smoke, with their first cafe and retail outlet on Victoria Street. The space is stunning. It has a broody dark style, with funky neons and plenty of greenery. You can eat inside on the long communal tables or outside in the side corridor - plenty of room for a pram or TWO! The coffee is to die for and if you need to restock the pantry at home, or even buy a new machine, this place is for you.

But Mamma, what about the FOOD? Well. Let me just say, once you have tried the maple butter that is served with the chicken and waffles … you’ll never go back. This is the signature dish of the cafe and it is out of this world. But there is lots to choose from on the menu and you can balance that sweet and salty treat with the nourish bowl too. We have’t spotted a designated kids menu, but there are some great pastries, cookies and smoothies that will keep little ones happy!

Mamma’s special mention: Despite how busy it is around Abbotsford, there is heaps of treasure to be found, including Gahan Reserve. A BEAUTIFUL playground not too far from here.
