ringer reef winery, porepunkah
/What’s better than lying in the sun with a cheese platter and glass of wine while the kids play on the grass? When the backdrop is the beautiful Ringer Reef Winery in Porepunkah of course!
Set against the iconic mountain vista of Victoria’s High Country, Ringer Reef was once a gold mine in the early 1900s but is now a family run vineyard, winery and cellar door with stunning views, fantastic wine and room to run around or kick the ball.
During peak times of the year, you’ll find live music from local artists filling the country air on the sprawling grass where visitors are welcome to BYO a picnic rug (and ball or other activities to entertain the kidlets).
Build a platter and choose from a selection wines all handcrafted on site to enjoy on the lawn or grab a table on the landing which is partially covered but offers exceptional views of Mt Buffalo and the Buckland valley. Even better? Dogs are welcome in both areas (but not the cellar door)!
There is plenty of parking onsite but since the area is famous for their bike trails, why not cycle in with the family for a chill afternoon in the open air.
