one plus piece cafe, balwyn — mamma knows east

This is not your typical cafe. Inspired … or should we say dedicated … to the Japanese magna series One Piece, this eatery is a dream come true for all fans of comic and graphic novels. There are displays of all the One Piece characters, but is a strictly 'look-but-don’t-touch’ kind of display. There is so much to look at and makes for a brilliant game of i-spy!

While we might be too young to know who all the cartoon buddies are, we were suitably impressed by the menu at One Plus Piece. It has a huge range and has everything from poke bowls to sushi sandwiches (yes … sandwiches from sushi), from fully loaded burgers and FREAK shakes! Servings are very generous and we all like to dig in a share this monster of a milkshake!

Mamma’s special mention: You will NEED to burn off some of that extra energy found in this menu. Beckett Park is a nearby playground that we just love.
