ilza, kilsyth south
/When the good stuff is hidden, it’s one of Mamma’s missions to hunt it out! Ilza is one of those places. This is a real hidden gem, tucked in the back of an industrial area in Kilsyth South. Amongst the factories and yards you will find this little oasis, serving incredible modern Japanese delights 6 days a week.
Our family loves Japanese favours - chicken katsu, tempura veggies, lotus root chips. You’ll find all of these here along side rice or noodle bowls. We love to get a range of dishes to share and always try something new.
Oh and the drinks menu is ten outta ten! You have to try the homemade strawberry milk AND the orange latte. It’s like drinking a chocolate jaffle with a hit of coffee. So good!
A word of warning, the cafe is on the small side, the the tables placed nice and close together. You can book ahead which helps and they offer takeaway. Not much room for prams or big groups, however, if you visit on a nice clear day, there are plenty of outdoor tables!
