talaskia reserve, upper ferntree gully

Occasionally it isn’t the playground that Mamma is drawn to when we head outdoors for an adventure. In the case of Talaskia Reserve, it is the multi sports area that we LOVE.

Situated right next to the William Angliss Hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully you will find a footy oval, a playground and an open play zone. This is perfect for running or scooting around the track, having a hit of junior tennis or play a game of basketball. There are lots of lines marked out that are still a mystery to Mamma - although kids will find a way to integrate these into their games without so much as a bat of an eyelid.

The playground has also had an upgrade as it overlooks the cricket oval. There is a solid climbing structure which is great for exploring. Its great for the younger kids and it isn’t crazy high or has many open sections. The two play zones are close together too, so you can supervise both areas at once. Simple and perfect!

Mamma's special mention: If you are looking for another playground to test out the scooters and bikes, hop on down to Marie Wallace Reserve in Bayswater for the brilliant bike track.
