gahan reserve playground, abbotsford

Wow! This is a very slick and beautifully designed playground. Stunning timber uprights. Stainless steel walls. Amazing landscaping. It’s not your typical street playground at Gahan Reserve in Abbotsford.

Along with the aesthetics, the playground is a lot of fun. There is a cool rope bridge crossing where the kids have to carefully cross, a bunch of swings, a boat that actually bounces and a sandpit with an obstacle course. The sandpit is more rock than sand but it is still possible to create some castles - BYO buckets and spades.

The reserve is pretty large with more green space for ball games and picnics. The established trees have remained in the design of the reserve and offer plenty of autumn leaf litter at this time of year - and some great shade in summer months.

Mamma’s special mention: Need coffee? The Farm Cafe is not far down the road - make it a full adventure!
