blackburn lake clifton street playground, blackburn

Blackburn Lake Sanctuary is lucky enough to have not one, but two, pretty cool playgrounds to explore. You’ll find this cool new park tucked half way around the lake, next to Blackburn Lake Primary School, and the Cliffton Street entry to the Sanctuary. The playzone is a wonderful improvement on the previous equipment and includes a wicked corkscrew slide! There are features that suit everyone, although best for the preschooler age and up - toddlers might need a boost to get to the little slide. There is a bunch of rope crossings, monkey bars and swings. The slide tower is pretty tall, but it is all enclosed and doesn’t make Mamma’s heart jump like some others around!

Mamma's special mentions: Best of all, once this playspace has been fully explored, take a short stroll down to the lake to visit some ducks or meander your way along to the wetlands and the other trails throughout the sanctuary. You’ll find the main playground on the other side of the sanctuary and a special friend - Stumpy - just over the lake on Lake Road.
