birrarrung park playground, bulleen

It might not be much to look at, the playground may have seen many good years, but when the time comes that you need to get out and stretch your legs, Birrarung Park in Bulleen comes in handy. We love this parkland for the trails, views of the Yarra (where the name Birrarrung comes from) and then a little play at the park. The tracks here are paved which helps with scooters and beginner riders and follows a flat loop that begins and ends at the playground. We can’t tell you exactly how long it is, but the 3.5 year old manages just fine on his wheels. There is a picnic shelter, toilets (further into the park towards the water), sand pit, a couple of slides, swings, a maze and a bunch of monkey bars.

Mamma’s special mentions: Nearby fun places include Wombat Bend, as well as Heide Gallery.
