the parents hub, mooroolbark

The Parents Hub is like a little slice of heaven for families in the outer east. A space for the ‘village that helps raise a child’ to come together for support and connection.

This home style centre is so warm and welcoming to all parents with little ones and there are opportunities for all families with kiddos under school age to participate in their programs.

You’ll find playgroups, facilitated mums groups, baby classes, opportunities to hire the venue (yup - parties!), first aid workshops and even open house sessions where parents with kids of all ages are welcome. The hub runs the programs via a membership model which includes one class each week plus free entry to hub community events, classes and more. Jump on the website for timetables and classes options.

The program here runs on weekly themes too, keeping the kids engaged with all new ideas and experiences. Mamma got to play during science week! Facilitators are a joy to work with and connect with the children as they play and learn together.

The hub is set up specifically for the kids in mind. There is an art room (where the mess is contained nicely!), an imaginative play space (this was a pharmacy on Mamma’s visit), an active space, a nice large central room complete with couches for big group story times and conversations.
PLUS there is a fully fenced backyard, complete with playground, cubby and a bunch of toys to play with. You and your kids will feel like you are right home at the hub - but with added bonus of other adults to chat to and kids to play with!

It is a safe space for kids and parents to connect with other parents in the local area - a brilliant way to create friendships for both parents and children as we all go through the trials and tribulations that is raising little people!
