cornucopia garden @ bunjil place, narre warren

An oversized garden has popped up at Bunjil Place and it smells AMAZING! The Plaza will be home for the next 24 days to a giant apple, a chocolate lily and a stalk of celery.

This trio of produce takes pride of place but that is not all that is special about this display. Enter the MIST. This fog in constantly swirling amongst the food and it is flavoured! Mamma found it tricky to pick the scent at first, but on our visit - apple was the flavour of the day. Other days though, it could be chocolate or celery! The fog is at full mercy of the wind and can be thick at times, making it tricky to see at times, so keep the kiddos close if they scare easily. Otherwise, they will LOVE running though the display and playing hide and seek in the garden!

The garden is FREE to visit and open everyday from 10am until July 17.

More is planned in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Winter Arts Festival in Casey. You can book a tour of the display and learn more about the wacky minds and designs of Bompas & Parr. Or enjoy the daily Food Hub that will be popping up in the Bunjil Place foyer selling fresh produce from local farmers and growers. Over selected dates in the holidays, book in for Fruit and Veggie Stamping, food inspired workshops or farmyard story time - head HERE TO BOOK

Finally for those die hard food lovers, there is an Immersive Dining event set for July 1st and 2nd. This is geared to be a spellbinding evening that tantalises the senses, through performance, song, aroma and flavour. It is a seven-course progressive dinner and will feature some of the region’s top produce from Bunjil Place’s Head Chef, Colin Wilson. Spots will fill fast - BOOK HERE.
