paint your own @ robert gordon pottery, pakenham

As if the Robert Gordon warehouse in Pakenham was not cool enough, it has its very own 'paint your own' section. Choose a plate, mug, base, teapot or even ducky and paint away! The paints are gentle and super absorbent into the clay creating really cool effects, even when your little ones don't have the full concept of painting just yet. You can let the kids go wild with the paint or even make a memento with a cute foot or hand print, freezing this moment in time! There is a new workshop space and it is a lovely little activity for you and the fam.

The art pieces are then fired making them food safe and dishwasher safe - double thumbs up! You just have to pop back two weeks after your art session to pick them up. Mamma is not sure if we could have made anything else more personal AND practical to gift to the grandparents this year! We have done this a number of times over the years and as always, we can’t WAIT to see how they turn out.

Mamma's special mention: Robert Gordon makes some of the most divine crockery in Melbourne. The shop is pretty mesmerising on its own and you might score a bargain while you are there as well! PLUS there is an onsite cafe - make sure you visit Nancy while you are there.
