There’s nothing Mamma loves better than an outdoor swim in summer. And with $2 entry on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oakleigh Recreation Centre is a no-brainer!

Open for its summer season until 31 March, Oakleigh Recreation Centre’s outdoor pools are a young kiddo’s paradise. With two toddler-friendly, heated pools, a pirate-ship playground and a splash park - Mamma can set up shop here and let the kids create core summer memories.

Most of the kid-friendly areas are completely under cover and there are shaded picnic tables where families can enjoy snacks from the on-site cafe. There is also plenty of green space for kids to roam between dips in the pool.

In addition to the kid-centric areas, there is a lap pool and diving pool complete with multiple boards. The absolute favourite for Mamma’s two is definitely the multi-coloured splash park, complete with fountains, buckets and sprayers. Adjacent to the playground, Mamma’s two set up shop here and enjoy a splash amongst the jets and then a climb up the pirate ship’s crow’s nest to survey their child-friendly kingdom.

With entry free for kids under 5 all season long, and only $2 for others on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oakleigh Recreation Centre is a fun and affordable way to spend a sunny day.
