When it is time to take a dip, pack up your picnic rug, some lunch and your swimming gear and head to Croydon Memorial Pool - the outdoor one. The space comprises three basic outdoor swimming pools that have ALWAYS been there! The big-sized pool - full 50m olympic length pool. The medium-sized pool - 20m learner’s pool perfect for primary-aged kiddos. And the baby-sized pool - the toddler paddling pool!

What Mamma loves the best are the shade sails. They cover all of the toddler and the learner's pools plus add shade to sit under as well when it’s time to fuel up mid-swim on a picnic rug. Both of the junior pools are separate which prevents the big kids from overspilling and adding waves for the toddlers.

Mamma’s youngest can confidently stand in all sections of the toddler pool, even when it dips and gets a little deeper in the middle. My tip for the Mammas - don't wear your best bather bottoms or add some boardies to your pool attire. The pool floor is a little scratchy (great for little feet to grip) and will not be so gentle on your lycra!

On days over 30º you might even get lucky and the inflatables will pop up! The Croydon Memorial Pool is one of three aquatic centres in the Maroondah Leisure Facilities. Aquahub just over the other side of Mount Dandenong Road and Aquanation in Ringwood.
