Cherries simply scream CHRISTMAS and eating them direct from the tree has to be the best way to enjoy them.
Big Fellas Cherries is a U-Pick orchard located in Coldstream. With a huge netted area protecting the fruit from those pesky birdies, these have to be some of the best cherries and picking experiences to have in the Yarra Valley. The orchard is beautifully maintained, rows of trees are easily accessible and the fruit … it is to die for!
The crew here will show you directly to the best trees for picking and let you go for it. You need to look for the dark red cherries, keep the stem on but leave the bud to ensure they re-flower properly next season.
You can eat as much as you like while you pick here, but remember, you must pay for the fruit you pick so don’t let the kids go too wild! Although, Mamma feels you can never have too many cherries in summer.

Hours can very depending on seasonal conditions (likely to be open on weekends)
Currently (Late December 2022) 9am-4:30pm everyday until the season ends. (NOT Christmas Day)
