mary mackillop playground, surrey hills

Hear ye! Hear ye! Mary MacKillop Reserve in Surrey Hills has had a facelift, and she’s looking pretty.

Keeping the castle theme from the previous, much-loved playground, this revamped park incorporates lots of fun features including a shop area, tunnel slide, ropes ladders and bridges for climbing and on-theme turrets atop the two main climbing structures. Home to two separate play structures, one for Mamma’s smaller adventurers and another for bigger kids, explorers of all ages will be engaged and challenged with plenty to climb up and slide down.

Mamma’s little ones were particularly enamoured by the ride-on bike springers. They spent most of their time here having races and letting their imaginations soar. Mamma also loves the inclusion of two sets of double swings, keeping tensions low when both Mamma’s littlies must have a swing simultaneously.

Mamma loves a park with wide, open green spaces, and Mary MacKillop delivers on that front. It’s a great park to bring a bike, scooter or a footy with paths and greenery throughout. There are fences between the playground and the road, helping to contain Mamma’s more adventurous explorers.
