herman pump reserve, heathmont

This could be a first. We headed to a playground … and the kids walk straight past the equipment. There is a very good reason too. The amazing community around the Herman Pump Reserve in Heathmont have nurtured a beautiful play space amongst the trees.

Just beyond the boundaries of the playground, you will find a giant collection of trucks and diggers, some animals to play with, a fogo bin of jumbo chalk, and a giant tub of books. The kids will literally make a beeline for the donated treasures and sitting quietly with a great book, alongside the birds, is a real slice of heaven.

Finding a spot like this warms our little Mamma hearts. Especially when there are also a collection of fairy doors to find. We knocked on doors belonging to Frodo, Leo and the Beekeeper. Sadly, no one was home - but what a TREAT!

Spaces like these are really special and if you are visiting, be sure to leave the space neat and tidy, ready for the next adventurers. There was room in the book box too, if you wanted to add to the collection.
