cootamundra walk playground, blackburn

There is the odd occasion that Mamma turns the corner, the jaw drops and I say "what is THAT?!" In this instance - a giant, spinning, rope seat. Well I am happy to tell you, after a little investigation, this incredible swinging and spinning monster is called a dancing snake swing. It is a total winner. With a bit of puff, the kids (or eager adult) run up holding onto the rope to get it turning then jump on and swing.

The playground isn't for your toddlers but preschoolers should be able to manage with an extra push and it IS refreshing to check out a playground for the older kids in the area. The structures here are here best suited for your confident climbers with lots of  but the crawlers should still be able to reach the junior slide or simply give an echidna a cuddle! There is a mini picnic table and bench, plus a traditional set of swings and two slides.

Mamma's special mention: Once you have finished your play head along the trails, check out the creek and head up Surrey Road for a babycino or milkshake break at Aunt Billies
