stones throw cafe, montmorency

Overlooking Montmorency's famous windmill on Were Street is Stones Throw cafe - a bright, green-filled cafe with lots of space for kids and prams.

The little ones will enjoy sipping their milkshakes in their own house-shaped wooden booth surrounded by jungle-like greenery.

The menu is seasonal and updated regularly. Mamma loved the pimped-up avocado on toast, which included avocado, macadamia, kaffir lime and sesame crumble, spring onion, homemade chilli jam, feta, lemon and a poached egg. Yum! The kids loved their cheese toastie and Vegecado (Vegemite and avocado on toast) offered on the Under 12 Kids Menu.

There are also some delicious-looking house-made smoothies and cold-pressed juices on the menu that Mamma will have to try next time she’s around.

Banuyle has recently upgraded the Were Street streetscape, public toilets and open spaces, too - head over on your next outing and check it out!
