Mamma has found a fave spot for families, and this one ticks all the boxes. Salted Caramel Café in Templestowe lower is refreshed and it is warm, welcoming and totally relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you can take a deep breath, sip your coffee, and actually enjoy a catch-up with friends while the kids are happily entertained.

The food is simple, hearty and delicious. Mamma loved the waffles and chicken - crispy, tasty, and a total crowd-pleaser. There’s no fuss or fancy here, just good food done well, served with a smile. The kids’ hot chocolate even comes with a sweet little touch that makes the smallest family member feel special (and Mamma loves that!).

Now let’s talk about the back area because this is where the cafe really shines for families. There’s a fab undercover space that’s heated in winter and a super generous play zone for the kids. We’re talking giant Connect 4, loads of toys, and plenty of books to keep busy minds and little hands happy. It’s perfect for a relaxed hangout, a casual mammas group meet-up, or even birthday celebrations!

The vibe is homely and down-to-earth, and the space is fully accessible for prams, wheelchairs, the lot. Mamma reckons this spot is just right when you’re looking for somewhere easy, welcoming and totally kid-friendly.
