Mamma has made the most adorable discovery. The Mr Tanuki Cafe is a real hidden treasure, found at the Greythorn Shopping area in Balwyn North. It is a bright and airy cafe that celebrates Asian and Japanese style flavours.
The menu is all about sushi sandwiches, milk buns and the sweetest cakes and treats! The lotus chips and sweet potato fries are always a hit, but you MUST try a jelly topped cheese cake. The blueberry or lychee would be our pick We love trying something new and when they are accompanied with hot chocolates and babycinos as sweet as this … it is truly delightful.
Staff here are very friendly and the kids are very welcome here. There are high chairs and bench seating, all with enough room on the table to colour and chat with Mamma.
Mamma’s special mention: After your kitty-cat cino, swing past the library in the building behind for a story or two before you are on your way.
