Matilda, Mont Albert — mamma knows east

We have found perfection in the form of a cute corner cafe in the beautiful streets of Mont Albert North. Matilda is simply stunning. Boasting Frenchie vibes, this cafe is the ideal spot for catching up with a friend, grabbing a sandwich or pastry for the road, or simply having a morning tea-slash-babycino date with your little one. The menu is super fresh and the buttery, flakiness of the croissants is oh-so delicious! Mamma can recommend the pumpkin and sage toastie and the little guy gives the gingerbread men two thumbs up.

There are tables inside and out of this pint sized cafe, and high chairs if needed. There are heaps of options to grab and go too - the front display is enough to make your mouth water - as well as a beautifully stocked retail fridge with crumpets, cheeses and goodies.

Mamma’s special mention: This is a hidden gem (literally there is a sign missing for Access Road from Rostrevor Parade), so take care to follow the GPS directions. For a great park nearby, head in the direction of Box Hill to get to Mont Albert North Reserve.
