little hendrix cafe, belgrave
/Jimi Hendrix’s anthem ‘Little Wing’ sings of “a thousand smiles she gives to me free”. Well, smiles, joy, good vibes and delicious food are what you’ll find when you visit Little Hendrix Cafe in Belgrave. Oh, and did Mamma mention? Toys. You’ll also find toys; a whole lot of them. This makes Little Hendrix an absolute must-visit when you’re next in The Hills with your little ones in tow.
Named after the Voodoo Child himself, this cute little cafe is right on Belgrave’s main street and offers an expansive menu, seriously good coffee and many treats and treasures to keep the little ones entertained. Mamma loves herself a cafe with an all-day brunch menu and this one is stacked. And Mamma’s little ones cannot go past a classic toastie, plated perfectly in baskets with red and white gingham paper, paying homage to the American legend who influences this trendy spot. Mamma always says “yes!” to a stack of corn fritters, and Little Hendrix puts these on with a twist, with spices which give them just the right amount of bite for a bold take on a brunch classic.
The hero of this cafe for Mamma’s little ones? The corner designed just for them. Between the play kitchen, the treasure chest of trucks, the tiny-humans-sized table and chairs and the fully-stocked bookcase, Mamma’s little ones are prepared to set up shop here, and ask frequently when we can return. The kids’ corner is a sign that Mamma and her little ones are absolutely welcome here and that’s the feeling you get when you step foot through the front doors of Little Hendrix. The staff are delightful and always nearby to lend a hand and go above and beyond to make each customer feel a part of the Little Hendrix family, making this a spot you’ll want to return to again and again.
