Honey, I’m home!

That’s exactly how Mamma feels when stepping through the door to Honey Lane Cafe in Upwey; home. This cornflour blue beauty is sweet as honey and full of delicious treats and gems for your little ones.

Walking through the front door, you’ll notice the charming feel of this place instantly. Its decor is oh-so-warm and the cafe stocks a gorgeously curated selection of local goodies. Think artisan breads, gift cards, beautiful keep-cups and a range of divine soaps and moisturisers. This feels like gorgeous cafe meets trendy local corner store and Mamma loves it.

Beyond the goodies table is a cabinet that is full-to-the-brim with fresh-baked treats. Mamma knows this is a big call, but she thinks that the scones at Honey Lane are the best she’s ever tasted. Her little ones certainly enjoy devouring them. The menu includes many delicious, house-baked treats. Mamma cannot go past a housemade beef and red wine pie, or a baguette that’s brimming with roasted vegetables. Mamma’s little ones always request their toasties with a babycino on the side: their favourite go-to meal.

Tucked to the side of the cafe is a fully-enclosed, undercover courtyard. This is where the magic happens. The courtyard contains a play kitchen, chalkboard-painted wall, miniature picnic table and chairs and crayons for colouring. Mamma’s little ones love exploring this space, which is astro-turfed, making for soft landings when one of Mamma’s bubba’s inevitably hits the deck. The cafe is super pram-friendly and actively invites feedback from local Mamma’s about how to continue to make the space family oriented.

Honey Lane truly does feel like home and we feel very lucky to have this gem of a cafe in one of the most beautiful pockets of the East.
