Hometown delivers on its name and its pizza. This place is so comforting (like returning home), every time Mamma and the fam come to Bright, Hometown is always on the hit list.
Walking through their iron gate you’ll see most of the seating is outside, with a few select tables indoors by the bar. The pebbled alfresco zone is gorgeous, filled with twinkling fairy lights and plenty of room for the kids to be kids.
Pizzas are the hero here but they also offer a number of small plates which are just as delicious (hot tip - don’t go past the wood fired bread with taramasalata or the wedge salad). They also make a mean cocktail!
If you’re visiting Bright on the school holidays, this place (and most restaurants in the area) get super busy so be sure to book ahead. However, they do offer takeaway as well and Mamma reckons a pizza picnic by Ovens River sounds like a pretty fantastic alternative.
