Lido Cinemas, Hawthorn

At least one day over the holidays it is likely to be either way too wet - or way too hot to be out and about. This means the place to go is… the cinema.

We are lucky in the east to have a number of big screen options to choose from, including Lido in Hawthorn. These movie theatres are great because there are heaps of screens meaning there are lots of options. They show some blockbusters AND some real little indy treasures. The screens are on the smaller scale in some theatres, and this boutique feel is ideal for the kids that may be overwhelmed at your traditional cinema.

Mamma loves picking a movie, grabbing some popcorn and having a little stillness to the day with the little guys… although you are guaranteed to have a buddy sit on your lap in the “scary” parts.
