Mamma stumbled upon this lovely walk and it is perfect for adventurous little legs. Part of Gilmour Park is the Ferny Creek Retarding Basin and the walk around the basin is not too long and very suitable for little ones. Mamma did bring the pram and while it is definitely manageable there are parts that require a bit of push.
Wander along the water searching for ducks and birds, search through tree stumps, play under the shade of the beautiful trees and chase your siblings along the tracks, it’s lots of fun.
The loop around the basin is not very long and is mostly flat with a few hills, depending on little ones could take anywhere between 20-40 minutes with plenty of time to explore your surroundings.
