Mamma’s kids are the happiest when in the water and there just so happens to be heaps of fun water play at Aqualink in Box Hill. Alongside the usual lap pool, the diving pool, outdoor lanes and swimming lesson zones, is an awesome splash zone.
There are three areas to this fun zone. A shallow toddler pool with some bubblers and shallow beach area. Then head through the misting arch to a bigger leisure pool that’s great for preschoolers and a spot to ‘go under’ without heading into the lap pool.
Then finally - the big kahoona - the big splash pad. This aquatic play zone is where you will wanna be! With cascading water all round the stairwell the kids will be lining up time after time to throw themselves down the slide to the big pool of water below. Kids over 5 are free to play solo (and one at time on the slide is the rule) while the juniors under 5 years can ride with an adult. It’s nice and wide and not too fast that it will scare anyone.
The school holidays can be busy with extra swimming lessons taking place, but there is often opportunities for the bigger kids to have a whirl on the diving boards and Tarzan rope that is set up in the afternoons. Check the website for times.
