wattle park playground, surrey hills

Wattle Park is as east as you can get! This much loved patch of greenery in the middle of suburbia is filled with classic memories and it is mostly because of those trams. Making themselves at home in the centre of this urban bush, are two W-class trams. And now with a BRAND NEW PLAYGROUND this is a WONDERFUL space for the whole family.

This new inclusive design celebrates the classic Wattle Park tram and this one can be climbed over, slid down and ‘driven’ from the driver’s seat. But there is heaps more - the space has been used to it’s fullest, meaning the kids have heaps of room to explore different features (which might mean you need two pairs of eyes if you have kids that also like to head in different directions - although is nice and open if you can supervise the play from one location).

Mamma’s kids loved the iron cubbies, the water play pump, the sand pit and the swings. There is plenty of logs to balance on and nature to explore too. Beside all the fun stuff, you’ll also find perfect bush play areas where some playgroups have fun making bush cubbies, creating art and enjoying the great outdoors. In the same site is a golf club with a cafe at the club house, outdoor stage, walking trails and an old beautiful chalet.

Mamma's special mention: Unfortunately this area can be a target for vandals, so Mamma will always do a quick visual for any dangerous items before the kids run off, especially around the trams. These are closed off but will be back and restored soon.
