noojee hotel, noojee

The Nooj Pub is famous. In a tiny town, mid way from Yarra Junction to Mt Baw Baw, this place is the heart of it all and it’s been here for nearly 100 years. All weekend the kitchen churns out hearty Aussie pub meals served with a huge side of warm, country hospitality. If you aren’t keen on the roast of the day, try a pizza - the Barbecue chicken is great to share.

During winter the fires are roaring and the tables are filled with locals and friendly faces passing through. Come the warmer months or simply a stunning sunny day, and the back deck is choc-a-block with families over looking the beautiful backyard by the icy Latrobe River. Once they have had their tucker, let the kids have a run on the grass and visit Wonky - the Donkey if he is close by! But of course, you can’t really leave without a ‘Nooj Pub’ flanny on your back!

Now the Noojee Hotel is THE PLACE to be - especially on weekends. Mamma’’s advice - BOOK AHEAD!
